about
« Buffalo tells the tale of the oppressed people. Of the conquest of their territories, the assimilation of their culture and traditions; sometimes leading to their complete annihilation.
With several references to the Natives, the lyrics to "Buffalo" open in different readings to the cycles of humanity. Since the dawn of times and up to this day, the history of these conquered and sometimes disappeared minorities repeats itself.
It's through a metaphor that the music video's director, Julien Rodrigues, and his team chose to represent their story. Plunging us at the heart of the tragedy applied to this familly, living united and in harmony with nature.
The CrossFire duo then places itself, both as witness and storyteller, among the ruins and remains of their existence. »
lyrics
Another land borrowed, another rests in peace
Through the plains, a call remains, begging for fire to cease
Empty days will follow, don't let your wounded bleed
Time will come when all will be numb, spirits and Devils are gone.
Echoes in the night
Voices call the missing
Flames that burn and scorch the earth to find a new beginning...
Come to the edge of sorrow, their conquest is complete
Change your ways, embrace and praise
Those you'd kill in their sleep
Through the plains, a call remains, begging for fire to cease..
Parked in reservations, to heal your hidden grief
Fire away, fight to stay, where the buffalo leaps..
Echoes in the night
Voices call the missing
Flames that burn and scorch the earth to find a new beginning...
Another land borrowed, another rests in peace,
Through the plains, a call remains, begging for fire to cease.
Through the plains, a call remains, begging for fire to cease
